It was here famous flyfThe fishing in upper area of the river is restricted to flyfishing only, and at some stretches the number of available permits are limited.
Fishing in the other paparts of the river are available by the regular permit from Särna Idre FVO fishing permit which can be bought in many different places in the area.
The river Storån is one of many fishing waters in the Särna Idre FVO, the stretches near Töfsingdalens National Park is excluded for this permit.
The fishing permit for some of the northern stretches (restricted waters) around Töfsingdalens National Park can be ordered by contacting the County Administrative Board. http://www.lansstyrelsen.se/dalarna
This a great place to fish, noted that hiking is required so don't think the access by car can be done.
The lower parts of the river is great to fish hard at times (get a guide to show you around and what flies to use)
Fishing permits can be bought in Idrefjällens Sport.
